Every time I’ve been to the movies, even as a child, I wondered why all the posters on the wall looked so similar. This video provides an answer in a rather humorous fashion. Take a look.

A friend of mine just emailed me one of your articles from a while back. I read that one a few more. Really enjoy your blog. Thanks

This selection of movie posters represents culmination of cinematic and graphic art from classics such as Funny Face, Dr. Fashion

That was pretty funny. I actually laughed, which is rare.

Yeah, it’s not bad for graphic design humor. The thing is that in reality it most likely is not the graphic designer that is creating bland similar movie posters. My guess is that it is studio executives. But who knows? Probably only those in that specific industry. Thanks for the comment!

Must be the face of the actors sell more tickets than the plot line?

You’re probably right. Unfortunately we judge art by how much money it makes. Seems backwards but that’s how it goes.

That was really well done, I loved it when he had a little strop when he couldn’t design his poster (that’s what I end up doing occasionally)!
